The world's only
3D team sport

Underwater Rugby is a fast-paced, full-contact sport played in three dimensions — under the surface, around the goal, and through your limits. Two teams of six battle it out at the bottom of a deep pool, using breath control, strategy, and trust.

It's intense, it's global, and it's unlike anything you've ever played.

A team in and
out of the water

United by passion, discipline, and resilience, we play Underwater Rugby with intensity and heart. Whether we're training, competing, or just sharing a laugh, our bond extends beyond the pool.

From international tournaments to local matches, we push each other to grow as athletes and as people.

Origins

How It Started

A small group of passionate players wanting to bring something different to the water. Over the years, a diverse international community of athletes who meet weekly to train, compete, and have fun.

What We're About

We train twice a week, compete nationally and internationally, and welcome all levels. Beginner or elite — you'll find support, laughs, and serious gameplay.

"You know, Concussions"

Culture

The AUWR Spirit

We take our game seriously — but never ourselves. Late-night memes, sideline banter, shared rides to comps. Here to win, but more importantly, to grow as a team and as people.

"It is normal to feel pain with the fins, what is not normal is to complain that much, Ricardo"

— Callum
